Will Professor Zoom Be A Series Regular On THE FLASH TV Series?

Yesterday, we received word that DC character Vibe will appear in The CW’s planned Flash pilot, which will spin-off from Arrow. According to the initial report, the Hispanic superhero would become a series regular if his debut appearance is a success. Now, we have some more details on the character’s presence, as well as another series regular. According to Bludhaven Banter, Cisco Ramon will be a series regular who will be in 10/13 episodes of The Flash. Additionally, he has not received his superpowers yet.
But that isn’t the biggest news. The site also reveals that in the pilot, there is a character called “Detective Eddie Thawne”. Flash fans will notice that the name sounds similar to Eobard Thawne, aka Professor Zoom/Reverse-Flash. Det. Thawne is described as, “”leading man handsome” (late 20s-early/mid 30s) and has recently transferred to Central City Police Department from Keystone. Thawne is set to be loved within the precinct and takes the credit for a lot of things that Barry can’t. However, the most intriguing part about this character is that his past will be a complete mystery. No one knows where he comes from, and he “harbors a dark secret”. That does sound very ambiguous, but as a comic fan, it’s easy to put one-and-one together to make two.” So, it definitely sounds like Eddie Thawne will become Barry Allen’s arch-nemesis in the series. However, none of this has been confirmed officially, so take it with a pinch of salt until then.

Starring Grant Gustin, The Flash pilot will film next March in Vancouver. If ordered to series, it will likely premiere on The CW sometime next fall.
