BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN Filming A Scene Near A Lake In February

The latest production update for Batman vs. Superman reveals the area of the first on-location shoot. According to The Country Press (via Henry Cavill News), filming for one scene will take place at Camp Metamora, which is near Flint, Michigan. Pre-existing camp buildings have been torn down, and a house is being built near Otsikita Lake. “Very tight security” is surrounding the production, which will film this scene at some point in February. Interestingly, according to Metamora Township fire chief Dave Eady, the house being used for the scene will be torn down once the shoot is complete. “There’s a beautiful lake back there. They’re building a home for one scene. All they’re doing is one scene there, then they’re going to tear everything down like they were never here.” We’ll have to wait and see when it comes to what this scene will consist of.
Batman vs. Superman (not the final title) is scheduled to hit theaters July 17th, 2015. The follow-up to Man of Steel, the next installment in the DC Cinematic Universe stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Diane Lane, and Laurence Fishburne. Zack Snyder directs from a script by David S. Goyer and Chris Terrio.
