BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN: Possible Details On Ben Affleck’s Two Batman Suits

While we wait for an official first look at Ben Affleck’s Batman garb for Batman vs. Superman, we have more potential details on what to expect. According to Latino-Review, and as previously reported, Batman will have two costumes in the Man of Steel sequel. The first will be his regular suit, complete with the iconic gray and blue colors. While that suit has already been designed and worn by Affleck, the Dark Knight’s second costume will be armored. Said to be similar to The Dark Knight Returns and Kingdom Come, we have a more detailed description of the suit. Via Latino-Review, “the plating is silver/white. The plates are attached to a black undercloth. The plates doesn’t cover his entire body. We see the black undercloth at the joints. Supposedly, it looks incredible. Equally, or maybe even better-looking than the other suit and it’s leagues above and beyond Bale’s suit from what I’m told.”

The site cautions that, since development on Batman vs. Superman is shrouded in secrecy, we should take this info with a pinch of salt until we see official photos. And when will our first look at the Batfleck be released? Latino-Review says we should expect it in February/early March. It was recently announced that the movie will begin filming in the second quarter of 2014, with Gal Gadot shooting her scenes starting in May. So, we should be getting an official publicity still soon.
Batman vs. Superman (not the final title) is scheduled to hit theaters May 6th, 2016. The follow-up to Man of Steel, the next installment in the DC Cinematic Universe stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Diane Lane, and Laurence Fishburne. Zack Snyder directs from a script by David S. Goyer and Chris Terrio.
