Four Characters Being Cast For NBC’s CONSTANTINE Television Pilot

It was recently confirmed that NBC has ordered a television pilot based on DC Comics’ John Constantine, with David S. Goyer and Daniel Cerone executive producing. Described as fun, witty and dark, Constantine is intending to be one of the pilots on NBC’s 2014-2015 schedule. Now, via KSite TV, we have details on four characters who are currently being cast for the potential series.
Obviously, there’s John Constantine himself, but his age and nationality are unknown. He was previously portrayed by Keanu Reeves in 2005’s Constantine movie. Next up is “Chas”, who is assumed to be Frank William “Chas” Chandler. The character, a longtime friend of Constantine, made his debut in Hellblazer #1. A younger version renamed Chas Kramer was played by Shia LaBeouf in the Constantine film. The other two characters are named “Liv” and “Manny”. It’s unknown if either one is connected to a character from the Constantine comics.
With filming on the pilot expected to begin soon, it shouldn’t be too long before we receive more news on Constantine. Stay tuned for more as we have it.
