Matthew Goode Met For Unspecified BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN Role; More Details On Ben Affleck’s Batsuits

We have a couple of key news pieces for Batman vs. Superman today. First off, Comic Book Movie has learned that Matthew Goode – who previously worked with director Zack Snyder on Watchmen – met with Warner Bros. executives for an unspecified role in the Man of Steel sequel. Unsurprisingly, speculation regarding his potential character is ranging from Lex Luthor and Barry Allen to Metallo and Hal Jordan. We’ll just have to wait and see how this one pans out.
This isn’t the first time Goode has been linked to Batman vs. Superman. He was reportedly one of the actors shortlisted for the role of Batman, before Ben Affleck was cast. Additionally, Goode was up for the role of Superman in Man of Steel, before Henry Cavill landed the part. So, there’s clearly interest in bringing him into the DC Cinematic Universe at some point.
We also have further details on Ben Affleck’s Batman costumes. Forbes has posted an in-depth editorial about the possibility of Affleck directing the Justice League movie, and included is some info that the site has heard. The Batman suit will be black and gray, made of fabric akin to Chris Evans’ Captain America costumes. Some armor will also be mixed in. And, as previously reported, there will be a second Batsuit. Compared to Iron Man’s armor, this look is completely armor based, and draws influence from Kingdom Come and The Dark Knight Returns. Forbes also says that at least one of these suits will be unveiled soon. In the meantime, check out Forbes’ excellent article in the link above.

Batman vs. Superman (not the final title) is scheduled to hit theaters May 6th, 2016. The follow-up to Man of Steel, the next installment in the DC Cinematic Universe stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Diane Lane, and Laurence Fishburne. Zack Snyder directs from a script by David S. Goyer and Chris Terrio.
