The CW Confirms Pilot Orders For THE FLASH And iZOMBIE

The CW has added a slew of titles to its pilot order list this season, and with that, we have confirmation of two DC names. First, the network has confirmed that The Flash has been ordered to pilot. Grant Gusin reprises his role from Arrow as Barry Allen, while the supporting cast consists of Jesse L. Martin as Detective West, Rock Cosnett as Eddie Thawne, and Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow. The pilot’s script will be written by Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti, and Andrew Kreisberg. The pilot is expected to be filmed in March.

The other DC title to have a pilot picked up is iZombie, an adaptation of the comic series written by co-creator Chris Robertson. Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero will write the script and executive produce. The pilot is described as “a supernatural crime procedural that centers on a medical student-turned-zombie who takes a job in the Coroner’s Office in order to gain access to the brains she must reluctantly eat so that she can maintain her humanity. However, with every brain she eats, she inherits the corpse’s memories. With the help of her medical examiner boss and a police detective, she solves homicide cases in order to quiet the disturbing voices in her head.” No cast or production details are known.
