THE FLASH Pilot Adds Rick Cosnett As ‘Eddie Thawne’ And Danielle Panabaker As ‘Caitlin Snow’

We have a couple of new casting additions to The CW’s Flash pilot. According to Deadline, the Arrow spin-off has added Rick Cosnett (The Vampire Diaries) and Danielle Panabaker (Justified) in series regular roles. Cosnett will play Eddie Thawne, who is described as “a recent transfer to the Central City Police Department, whose past is a mystery and who harbors a dark secret.” The character, who is most likely a renamed Eobard Thawne (aka Professor Zoom/Reverse-Flash), was reported to be featured in the potential series last month. Panabaker is Caitlin Snow, “a highly intelligent bioengineering expert who lost her fiancĂ© during an explosion at S.T.A.R. Labs.” Caitlin Snow is the name of the New 52’s Killer Frost. Whether or not she will become the icy villainess on The Flash is unknown.
Gosnett and Panabaker join Grant Gustin, who is reprising his role as Barry Allen, and Jesse L. Martin, who was recently cast as Detective West. Still to be cast is love interest Iris West and supporting character Cisco Ramon, both of whom are also set to be series regulars. The Flash begins filming this spring, and if ordered to series, it will likely premiere on The CW next fall.
