Two Villains For BATMAN: ASSAULT ON ARKHAM Animated Movie Revealed?

Joining Justice League: War and Son of Batman on DC’s animated slate for 2014 is Batman: Assault on Arkham. Little is known about the project, other than a tentative fall release date and that it’s set in the same universe as the Arkham video games. Now, it looks like we know of two villains that will be featured. Speaking with the official DC Comics website (via Comic Book Therapy), producer James Tucker talks about some of the characters from animated movies he wishes to see made into action figures. While commenting on characters from the next two titles, he namedrops two Assault on Arkham characters. “From Justice League: War and The Flashpoint Paradox, I’d love to see Ocean Master, Flashpoint Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Martha Wayne Joker, Yo-Yo and Cyborg. From Son of Batman: Damian, Killer Croc, Ra’s Al Ghul and Deathstroke. And from Assault on Arkham, definitely King Shark and Harley.”

So, it sounds like we can expect Harley Quinn and King Shark to appear in the movie. Of course, Harley’s presence is no surprise, as she was a big part of the Arkham Asylum and Arkham City games. King Shark, however, did not appear in any of the games, making his inclusion less predictable. While Harley never appeared in any of the animated DC movies up to this point, King Shark previously made a brief appearance in Superman/Batman: Public Enemies. We should expect more details to come within the coming months.
