NBC’s CONSTANTINE Adds Harold Perrineau, Lucy Griffiths And Charles Halford To Its Cast

With Matt Ryan set to play John Constantine in NBC’s take on the DC/Vertigo icon, we have three more additions to the cast of the television pilot. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Harold Perrineau (Lost), Lucy Griffiths (True Blood), and Charles Halford (True Detective) have joined the adaptation,  which is targeting a spot on NBC’s Fall 2014 schedule.
Perrineau will play Manny, “an authoritative angel assigned to watch over Constantine. He has the power to step into other people’s bodies, and although he is meant only to observe, Manny will not hesitate to help out if he can save a life.” The actor has some comic book experience, as he previously voiced Blade in Marvel’s anime series. Griffiths has been cast as female lead Liv, “an offbeat young lady who finds herself teamed with Constantine after she is marked for death by a powerful demon. With the ability to see the supernatural world among us, she becomes a key player in the battle between good and evil. ” And Halford is lined up for the role of Chas, “Constantine’s oldest friend and staunch companion. The foreboding Chas possesses powerful survival skills that might possibly be supernatural.” Chas was previously played by Shia LaBeouf in the 2005 Constantine movie.

NBC’s Constantine pilot was written by Daniel Cerone (The Mentalist), from a story by Cerone and David S. Goyer (Batman vs. Superman). Neil Marshall (Doomsday) will direct.
