POWER RANGERS: RPM’s Rose McIver To Star In The CW’s iZOMBIE Pilot

After casting a few supporting characters, The CW’s iZombie has found its protagonist. Rose McIver, who is best known for her roles in Power Rangers: RPM and Once Upon a Time, will play lead character Olivia “Liv” Moore in the DC/Vertigo adaptation. The character is described as “a med student-turned-zombie who takes a job at the coroner’s office to satisfy her insatiable hunger for brains. With each brain she consumes, she inherits that corpse’s memories; in an attempt to silence the voices in her head, she works with authorities to solve homicide cases.”

McIver joins previously confirmed cast members Robert Buckley, Malcolm Goodwin, Alexandra Krosney, David Anders, and Nora Dunn. Directed and co-written by Rob Thomas, iZombie is targeting a slot on The CW’s 2014-2015 schedule. Whether or not it will be ordered to series will be determined in May.
