Wonder Woman Movie News Bits: Gal Gadot Talks Training Regime, Plus Comments From Adrianne Palicki And Eliza Dushku

Today’s DC movie news round-up is clearly a Wonder Woman edition, and to start off, we have some comments from Gal Gadot. Speaking with E! Online, the actress talks about keeping her body fit for playing Wonder Woman in Batman vs. Superman“I just keep active—everything that’s challenging me, everything that I feel like doing. It’s not like I’m only TRX or Pilates. I do sports. I do cardio, but I don’t like it as much. I’d rather do weights.” As for her diet, Gadot adds, “I try to eat healthy. But sometimes though, I eat cheeseburgers. That’s good for the soul. I make sure to balance everything out. I drink tons of water.” Unsurprisingly, she refrains from any specific details on playing Wonder Woman.

In the meantime, Gadot’s casting (which has been controversial for some reason) has another supporter. Adrianne Palicki, who played Wonder Woman in the failed NBC pilot in 2011, tells TooFab that the Fast & Furious actress will do a “great” job bringing Diana Prince to life on the big screen. “I think she’s going to do a great job. I’m excited to see the new movie for multiple reasons. It’s hard, it’s scary, but I gotta tell you, it’s pretty damn cool to wear that costume. I should say, get paid to wear that costume.” There’s much more from Palicki at the link above, as she discusses From Dusk Till Dawn and returning for G.I. Joe 3.

Finally, we have some comments from Eliza Dushku on Wonder Woman. Several years ago, when Joss Whedon was working on a Wonder Woman movie, it was apparently rumored that Dushku was being considered to reunite with her Angel and Buffy director for the project. Now, at Emerald City Comicon (via HitFix), the actress confirmed that she met with Whedon for the role, but The Avengers writer-director didn’t think Dushku was right for Wonder Woman. “Joss and I had a really candid conversation about it, and he said, ‘You know, little Dushku, I love you, but you’re not really Amazonian…’” Nevertheless, Dushku reaffirms her interest in playing a comic book hero or villain. She recently stated that she would like to play Selina Kyle/Catwoman, after voicing the character in the Batman: Year One animated movie. Which comic book role do you think is right for Dushku?
