GOTHAM Will Air Mondays On Fox; Riddler, Renee Montoya And Crispus Allen Actors Promoted To Series Regulars

Quite a bit of Gotham news was released today. Recently, it was confirmed that the Batman prequel was picked up for a full series at Fox, joining a slew of DC television shows for the 2014-2015 season. Now, we know of three more characters who will be series regulars. Via THR, Cory Michael Smith, Victoria Cartagena, and Andrew Stewart-Jones will serve as regulars on Gotham after guest-starring in the pilot. We previously knew that Smith was Edward Nygma, aka the future Riddler. Cartagena and Stewart-Jones will play Gotham PD detectives Renee Montoya and Crispus Allen, respectively. Gotham will mark the live action debuts for both characters.

In other news, we now know where the series will land on Fox’s schedule. The network will air Gotham on Mondays at 8-9PM EST, preceding Sleepy Hollows. Meanwhile, NBC will air Constantine on Fridays at 10-11 PM, while The CW will presumably keep Arrow in its 8 PM slot on Wednesday. Now we have to wait and see which days The Flash and iZombie will land.

Finally, we have an update on how many episodes will make up Gotham‘s first season. Via Gotham Site, Fox chairman Kevin Reilly has confirmed that 16 episodes have been ordered so far, more than the usual 13. However, it’s possible that even more will be ordered. He additionally is very confident in the show’s potential success, as it has well known franchise characters. Stay tuned for more news as we have it.
