More From Jason Momoa On Those Aquaman Rumors

For months, Jason Momoa has been linked to Batman vs. Superman. Despite his denials, respectable websites have insisted that the Game of Thrones actor will be involved in some capacity. One frequently named character is Aquaman, who is expected to cameo in the Man of Steel sequel before a full-fledged appearance in Justice League. And now, Momoa has further denied these rumors.

Appearing at East European Comic-Con (via CBM), the actor was once again asked about playing Aquaman. He brushes the concept of his playing the King of Atlantis aside, saying that he can’t see himself in the role. However, he names one DC character that he can picture himself as. “I know, Aquaman!  I couldn’t even be more random for Aquaman, you know, with the blonde hair… I don’t even know where that comes from, it’s like me being… uh… Robin or something. Who pulls that out? I see that on the internet and I’m like, Aquaman? A guy like… Lobo I could see.” Of course, these denials could be a cover for Momoa agreeing to the role, but only time will tell.

As for Lobo, Warner Bros. was previously developing a film starring the intergalactic bounty hunter. Dwayne Johnson was in talks for the role before the movie was apparently shelved. Despite this, “The Rock” will appear in an unspecified DC role. Of course, Momoa randomly mentioning Lobo is probably nothing, but it’s certainly an interesting casting idea. Stay tuned for more DC movie news as we have it.
