New Villains Cast For ARROW Season 3, THE FLASH And CONSTANTINE

DC television shows Arrow, The Flash and Constantine have cast a slew of new villains for each of their respective seasons. First up, we have another exciting new addition to Arrow‘s third season. According to Entertainment Weekly, TRON: Legacy actor Matt Ward is set to play Komodo/Simon Lacroix. This villain was recently introduced in Jeff Lemire’s critically acclaimed Green Arrow run for the New 52. Arrow‘s version of Lacroix is described as “a deadly mercenary using the code name Komodo, who wreaks havoc in Starling City.” Executive producer Marc Guggenheim weighs in, revealing that while Komodo himself may not play a huge role in the season, he will be more connected to the year’s overall storyline than past “villains of the week.” “Yes, he’s the villain-of-the-week for the second week of the show, but you’ll see that Team Arrow’s pursuit of him is part and parcel of a season-long storyline. You’re going to know what happens to Komodo at the end of the episode, but it will be a little bit tied in better with the season-long mythology than villain-of-the-week episodes have done in the past.” Arrow returns to The CW on October 8th.

Meanwhile, spin-off series The Flash has also added another antagonist. According to Zap2it, actor Greg Finley (Star-Crossed) has been cast as Girder, aka Tony Woodward. Set to appear in episodes six and seven of the show, Woodward was among those affected by the STAR Labs accident that gave so many, including Barry Allen, superpowers. Woodward becomes the villain Girder, whose skin transforms into metal. Additionally, as a kid, he bullied Barry, further establishing a connection between the two. The Flash is set to premiere on The CW October 7th.

Finally, USA Today reports that NBC’s Constantine series has found its Papa Midnite. The Wire‘s Michael James Shaw is set to play the infamous antagonist of John Constantine in a recurring role for the anticipated show. The character is described as the “voodoo king of New Orleans,” and has been a frequent enemy of Constantine in the comics. It’s unknown when exactly he makes an appearance on Constantine, which premieres on NBC October 24th.
