Rumored Details For Batman And Wonder Woman’s Back Stories In BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE

We have yet another rumor regarding Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Badass Digest has apparently come across details on the back stories of both Batman and Wonder Woman in the Justice League prequel. Of course, this info should be considered a rumor, and these movies tend to generate a lot of true and false rumors. So, take this with a pinch of salt until we receive further confirmation.

According to the site, Bruce Wayne will have been Batman for nearly 30 years at the beginning of Dawn of Justice, and will be somewhere in his 50s. This version of the character is further described as “still an urban legend, a creature of the night, and no one has ever taken his picture. But he’s had plenty of adventures, and the Batcave includes a memorial centered around a tattered Robin costume.” Of course, this Robin costume likely belongs to Jason Todd. These details, if true, further indicate The Dark Knight Returns‘ heavy influence on this Batman. It appears that Wayne will be even older and more grizzled than expected, with past reports suggesting he will be in his 40s.

As for how Ben Affleck’s Batman will differ from Christian Bale’s, Badass Digest describes the former as “a quieter operator, not involved in blockbuster battles but in all sorts of badass vigilantism.” This would make him completely different from past iterations of the Dark Knight. Finally, the site adds a tidbit regarding Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman. Like Batman, she will also be in operation before Batman v Superman begins, and her actions are just as secretive and “badass,” but in a different and unexpected way. Again, take this news with a grain of salt, as any of these rumors could turn out to be false. Still, what do you think of these potential new developments?

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled to hit theaters May 6th, 2016. A follow-up to Man of Steel, the second installment in the DC Cinematic Universe stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Callan Mulvey, Tao Okamoto, Holly Hunter, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane and Laurence Fishburne. Zack Snyder directs from a script by Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer.
