GOTHAM Receives Full-Season Order From Fox

The cast and crew of Gotham
have been rewarded for pulling in a big audience.   Fox network has ordered six more episodes, upping
the number to twenty-two.
Dana Walden and Gary Newman, the chairmen and CEOs of Fox
Television Group, had high praise for the series when they announced the
additional order:  “Gotham debuted as one of the most buzzed-about
shows of the fall, and with good reason.
”  Factoring in streaming and DVRs the series
debuted with 14.1 million viewers in the first seven days, with very strong
numbers in the coveted 18-49 year-olds demographic.  The result was the highest drama debut on Fox
in fourteen years. (The Wrap)
The second episode held onto strong numbers, pulling in an
estimated 7.45 million viewers. (Headline Planet)
They then turned praise specifically to the show-runners,
Bruno Heller and Danny Cannon saying that the pair “have created an incredibly rich world, with characters that draw you in
and a cast that brings to life these heroes and villains in a way we’ve never
seen before.
”   They went on to say; “We are so excited to see where Bruno, Danny and the entire Gotham team take this story over the
course of this season, and so thankful to all the fans who have embraced it
this fall.
With news like this, it seems fans’ love affair with the
Caped Crusader and his beloved City is still going strong.
