Superman Prequel TV Series KRYPTON Reportedly In Development With David S. Goyer

Needless to say, DC Entertainment is dominating the television game right now. Arrow, The Flash, Gotham and Constantine are currently airing, while Vertigo adaptation iZombie premieres early next year. TV shows based on Supergirl, Titans and Lucifer are also being developed, in addition to Warner Bros. Digital’s recently announced Static Shock series. And now, we have yet another name to add t the list.

According to Bleeding Cool, Man of Steel scribe David S. Goyer is attached to a new television show titled Krypton. Going off of the name, it sounds like this would be a Superman prequel set on Krypton before its fateful destruction. No details on exactly which characters to expect, but iconic Krypton citizens such as Jor-El would not be surprising.

This news also comes off the heels of Gotham‘s success, as that was another prequel story for a legendary DC hero. Additionally, this is Goyer’s second foray into DC television, as he is an executive producer and writer on NBC’s recently launched Constantine. More news on Krypton should emerge sooner than later.
