JUSTICE LEAGUE PART ONE Reportedly Slated To Begin Production In 2016

With the first Justice League movie, now titled Justice League Part One, set for a November 17th, 2017 release, more news on the hotly anticipated DC ensemble should hit within the coming months. It was originally reported that the film will shoot back-to-back with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which recently wrapped production. However, a new report reveals that we have a little longer to wait until cameras roll on Justice League.
Deadline has broken the news that Ben Affleck, who will play Batman in the DC Cinematic Universe, is reteaming with Gone Girl director David Fincher and scribe Gillian Flynn on a remake of Alfred Hitchcock’s Strangers on a Train, which is now on the fast track at Warner Bros. The report offers some insight into Affleck’s busy schedule. The actor, who next shoots The Accountant, plans to film Strangers on a Train after wrapping his next directorial effort, Live by Night. Then, in 2016, he will begin shooting on Justice League Part One.
This gives us a clearer idea of WB/DC’s production schedule for the next couple years. Suicide Squad begins filming in April, and with Wonder Woman releasing a few months before Justice League, don’t be surprised if that movie undergoes principal photography this year as well. Gal Gadot will likely not be able to shoot both her solo film and the next ensemble movie simultaneously, not to mention the fact that she turned down a role in the Ben-Hur remake due to her Wonder Woman commitment. With Batman v Superman finished filming and Justice League not starting for another year, there’s probably no other DC project to shoot in 2015 except Wonder Woman.
Zack Snyder directs Justice League Part One, which will star Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa and Ray Fisher. Chris Terrio is reportedly set to write the script. Stay tuned for more as we have it.
