Possible New SUICIDE SQUAD Plot Details Reveal Joker’s Role, The Team’s Mission And More [SPOILERS]

Despite Tom Hardy’s unexpected exit from Suicide Squad last week, the DC Comics supervillain film is still moving full steam ahead. The movie, which will introduce a number of villains and anti-heroes into the DC Cinematic Universe, is set to begin production in April. Now, Latino-Review has posted the following story details provided by two corroborating sources, giving us a clear idea of how the film’s plot goes. How do Deadshot and Harley Quinn meet? What is the Squad’s mission? What role does Joker have? Where does Lex Luthor come into play? How is Batman’s existence acknowledged? All that and more questions are answered in the following.

Among the story details was the revelation of a major plot twist concerning Rick Flagg, which may explain why Tom Hardy dropped out of Suicide Squad. –Suicide Squad kicks off when Deadshot (Will Smith) is about to take out an inmate being transported from Arkham Asylum. He meets Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), who disrupts the assassination in an attempt to break out Joker (Jared Leto). Both Deadshot and Harley are captured and sent to warden Amanda Waller’s (Viola Davis) maximum-security prison, Belle Reve. Joker is also sent to the prison to keep Harley in check, and he spends most of the movie in his prison cell.

-Deadshot and Harley are then implanted with their explosive devices and placed on the Suicide Squad, which already has Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney) as a member. There is tension between Deadshot and Boomerang because the former killed the latter’s father. The Squad is sent on a mission to stop a human trafficking gang from selling bio-weaponry to Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg). The gang plans to hand Enchantress (Cara Delevingne) over to Luthor, who intends to manipulate her magical powers. However, the Squad intervenes and takes Enchantress to an underground area of Belle Reve, which hosts a number of “genetic freaks” including King Shark. Enchantress is said to have a “split personality,” with her evil side being a sorceress.

-Amanda Waller’s goal is to track down and capture every superhuman. She also may be after Batman, who does not appear in the film beyond mentions and camera footage. Suicide Squad will feature many villains other than the Squad, setting up a number of potential franchises. There is also a lot of action in this script, which is being highly praised by Warner Bros, and the story mostly focuses on Deadshot, Harley and Joker.

-The latter has a key role that has been compared to Hannibal Lector, but he isn’t involved in any action sequence…until the ending of Suicide Squad, which sees a prison riot at Belle Reve. Most of the prisoners escape, including Joker, who kills a few people.
