The CW Renews iZOMBIE for Second Season

While their presentation in New York for the Fall Season is
still over a week away, the CW network started their announcements a little
early.  Today they announced that mid-season pick-up series iZombie
will return next season.

The news came after the series earned positive reviews and gathered
up 2.3 million viewers for the premiere and holding on the most of them in the
following weeks.   CW has already renewed their other DC-related
series; The Flash and Arrow and judging by the number of
already renewed series in their line-up seem pretty happy with their
programming.  Only two series currently
on the CW lineup have uncertain fates, Hart
of Dixie
and The Messengers.

The network is also happy to continue their working
relationship with producer, Rob Thomas (in addition to iZombie, Thomas has a web-based series for the CW based on his
previous series, Veronica Mars.)  This is good news for DC/Warner Television also,
coming on the heels of the news that Supergirl
has received a series pick-up from CBS.

At this time, there has been no word on how many episodes
were ordered or if the show will return in the same time slot.

iZombie airs on
the CW, Tuesdays at 9E and is available streaming.

Just another guy on the internet.
