ARROW Casts Neal McDonough as Season 4 Villain Damien Darhk

At the end of Arrow season three, a new enemy was teased for season four: Damien Darhk, a rival of the now deceased Ra’s al Ghul. The character is the leader of HIVE, an organization teased throughout the series that will finally take center stage in its fourth season. Now, with the season prepping to begin production and a Comic-Con panel scheduled for tomorrow night, we have an actor set to play Darhk.

According to TV Line, Neal McDonough has been cast as Damien Darhk. He will be a series regular on this season of Arrow, and he has a “pivotal” role. The show’s producers describe Darhk as “a mysterious and sophisticated villain, and an adversary of the late Ra’s Al Ghul. Now the leader of his own clandestine group, this cunning foe will prove to be one of the Arrow’s greatest challenges.”

McDonough is a familiar face in both comic book movie and television adaptations. He has played Dum Dum Dugan in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and he has voiced DC characters such as Deadshot and Green Arrow himself in various animated productions. Arrow will mark the actor’s live action debut in the DC Universe.

Stay tuned for more news as we have it. Arrow returns to The CW on October 7th.
