BATMAN: ARKHAM KNIGHT Batgirl DLC Release Date and Synopsis Revealed

With Batman: Arkham Knight just a mere week and a half old, Warner Brothers has announced the release date of the first story DLC. ‘Batgirl: A Matter of  Family’ releases July 14th for season pass owners, while it will be available stand alone for $6.99 on July 21st.

Note: This is only available on the Xbox One and PS4 because the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight is still undergoing maintenance.

The official synopsis may have been accidentally revealed on the Xbox marketplace. Read it down below.

Batgirl: A Matter of Family will allow players to take on the role of Batgirl for the first time in the Batman: Arkham  franchise. This exciting story add-on features an all-new location with multiple missions, side-quest and secrets; a new hacking feature to progress through the world and solve puzzles; and Dual Play functionality with Robin for dynamic take-down maneuvers. The Batgirl: A Matter of Family add-on content was developed by WB Games Montréal and was created using the Batman: Arkham Knight engine built by Rocksteady Studios. The remaining Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass add-on content is under development by Rocksteady Studios.

It’s interesting that this is being developed by WB Montréal (developers of Batman: Arkham Origins). If the rumored Suicide Squad game is in development, this may be their way of getting used to the new game engine. Maybe more Batman Arkham Prequels are on the way.

Stay tuned for more updates.

Batman: Arkham Knight is available now on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
