GOTHAM Upgrades Drew Powell’s Butch Gilzean to Series Regular for Season Two

If you thought Gotham was done expanding its hefty list of series regulars, think again. According to Deadline, the show has now promoted Drew Powell, who plays former Fish Mooney henchman Butch Gilzean, to series regular for its second season. With Mooney now out of the picture, Butch is working for new Gotham crime boss Oswald Cobblepot, aka the Penguin.

Powell is the latest actor to be upgraded to a series regular role after recurring last season. For season two, Gotham has promoted Morena Baccarin (Leslie Thompkins), Nicholas D’Agosto (Harvey Dent), and Chris Chalk (Lucius Fox) to series regulars. In addition, two newcomers, James Frain (Theo Galavan) and Michael Chiklis (Nathaniel Barnes), will be series regulars for season two.

Stay tuned for more news as we have it. Gotham returns to Fox on September 21st.
