DC’s LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Casts Casper Crump as Big Bad Vandal Savage

Yesterday, it was announced that actor Falk Hentschel is set to play Carter Hall/Hawkman in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, following the two-episode crossover event for The Flash and Arrow this season. Now, the midseason series has cast its main villain.

The CW has announced that Danish actor Casper Crump will play Vandal Savage in Legends of Tomorrow. Crump, who will be seen in Warner Bros.’ Tarzan film next year, will make his debut as the iconic DC foe in the Flash/Arrow crossover arc, before recurring on Legends.

In the CW-DC Universe, Savage has “spent the past 6,000 years moving like a virulent disease through history, whispering in the ears of despots and dictators, all leading to his eventual domination of the world.” Savage has been a fan-favorite villain in DC lore, and Legends of Tomorrow will serve as his official live action debut. (Not counting the Curtis Knox character from Smallville, who was intended to be Vandal Savage until the studio forbade it.)

Stay tuned for more news as we have it. The Flash and Arrow return to The CW in October, while DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will premiere early next year.
