Game Director Sefton Hill gives us an update on BATMAN: ARKHAM KNIGHT

Fans have been a bit disappointed with the DLC for Batman: Arkham Knight. Having to pay for AR challenges and not being able to use all characters across all challenge maps have left fans feeling scammed, especially after paying for the $40 season pass. Rocksteady Studios Game Director Sefton Hill turned to twitter to reveal that character select will be available in October/ November allowing players to use Batman, Robin, Nightwing, Catwoman, Batgirl, Red Hood, Harley Quinn and Azrael in all AR challenge maps. Sefton also answered fan questions, giving news details on the Tumbler DLC and more.

Q: Are we getting the Dark Knight suit with the Tumbler pack?

A: Apologies but there are no plans for this batsuit. It’s a popular request so we’ll see what we can do. No promises!

Q: Now that you’ve announced playable characters in AR challenges, will they eventually come to free roam?

A: Sorry to say but it’s very unlikely we’ll support full free roam with other playable characters.

Q: When will PC players be able to play the DLCs?

A: Very sorry for the delay. We’re actively working on it but I don’t have an exact date for this yet.

Q: Now it actually sounds like you guys are listening. Will there also be an option to turn off the blue walls? (in AR challenges)

A: It’s not an easy fix as they are used so we can have challenges during the main game. We’ll see what we can do.

Q: Will the Tumbler have battle mode? Also, will it be playable in the main story?

A: The Tumbler does not have battle mode as it cannot move Omni-directionally. You can use it as you use the 1989 Batmobile.

This is certainly good news, the character select is something that should have been available from the beginning, but it is good that Rocksteady finally realized this is what the fans wanted. Not many game developers take the time to listen to fan reaction and try to make the best game possible. What Rocksteady has done is greatly appreciated.
Don’t forget that the ‘2008 Tumbler Batmobile Pack’, ‘Arkham Asylum skin’, ‘Nightwing: GCPD Lockdown story add-on’ and ‘Crime Fighter Challenge Pack #2’ will release in the coming weeks.
We still have three more months of downloadable content releasing, so there will be plenty of more news to come. Stay tuned.

Batman: Arkham Knight is available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
