PREACHER Gets Series Order; Seth Rogen Reveals First Poster

The long awaited Preacher series has finally been ordered to series, according to a tweet today by executive producer Seth Rogen. He also revealed the first poster for the series (which you can see below), after confirming that we can expect the pilot to air in May 2016. The tweet was later deleted, and replaced with one that left out the premiere date, possibly indicating that the date isn’t set in stone quite yet, or (most likely) AMC told him that they didn’t want an official date announced yet.

Deadline reported that the show has been picked up for ten episodes right now, but if the ratings are good, it’s safe to assume we’ll get more. This is coming from AMC after all, famous for turning another comic book property into one of the most popular shows currently on television. But who knows? Maybe it’ll go the way of Constantine and get cancelled following the first ten episodes. Hopefully not though, as it’s starting to sound very promising. Regardless, you can check out the show next may sometime in the near future, which stars Dominic Cooper as the titular Preacher, Jesse Custer.
