WB Games Montréal Making More BATMAN: ARKHAM Games?

WB Games Montréal has released an ad stating that they are hiring more designers, programmers, artist etc. Now, this may seem like news on the surface, but make no mistake this is very important. When you go to WB Games Montréal’s website the first thing to pop-up is an ad that says: “We are currently recruiting! We are a growing studio with two AAA projects in development focused on expanding the DC Comics universe in the interactive space.”

The thing that jumps out here is that they claim that they have not one, but two AAA DC Comics titles in development. This leads me to believe that the two games they are working on are ‘Suicide Squad’ and ‘Batman: Arkham Origins 2’. Why Suicide Squad and another Batman game? Well it’s simple, Suicide Squad has long been rumored to be in development (since 2013) and in the video (in the link above) one of the employees specifically mention the Suicide Squad by name. Not only that but the end credits scene for Batman: Arkham Origins suggest that Amanda Waller is creating a team and wants Deathstroke to join. As for an Arkham Origins sequel, it has been rumored that WB Games would take over the ‘Batman Arkham’ franchise from Rocksteady Studios. This would make sense considering they have already made DLC for Batman: Arkham Knight. (The Batgirl, Red Hood and Harley Quinn story packs.)

Now keep in mind that a lot if this is pure speculation. There have also been rumors of a Superman game, a Flash game, a Green Arrow game and a Justice League game. The only thing that is confirmed is WB Games Montréal has two DC Comics games in development. This is exciting news, and I can’t wait to see what WB Games Montréal does with their take on the DC Universe. As always, stay tuned for more new as it comes.

Batman: Arkham Knight is available now on Xbox One and PS4.
