WONDER WOMAN Begins Production in November; Rumored Timeline(s) Revealed

With Suicide Squad now finished shooting, Warner Bros.’ next DC film on the production schedule is Wonder Woman. It was previously confirmed that filming on the Gal Gadot-starrer would begin this fall in London for a Summer 2017 release. And now, we have a specific start date.

Appearing at the See Jane Salon Power to Greenlight event in Los Angeles last week (via Batman-News), producer Deborah Snyder talked a little bit about Wonder Woman. She commented on the desire to hire a female director for this project, and she adds that the movie is hiring as many female crew members as possible.

Most significantly, Snyder confirmed that Wonder Woman will begin production this November. With this in mind, expect more casting news to come in the following weeks.

In other Wonder Woman news, Heroic Hollywood has shared a new rumor regarding the film’s timeline(s). [Note: The Following Info May Be Considered Spoilerific.]

According to Heroic Hollywood, the first half of Wonder Woman will take place during World War I. This denies a prior rumor that claimed the film would be set in the 1920s, with a potential sequel to take place in the World War II era. Meanwhile, the second half of the movie will apparently take place during the present day. Also, rumor has it that Wonder Woman will be at least 200 years old when we first meet her in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
