New BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE Concept Art and Merchandise Revealed

With New York Comic-Con now underway, news for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has been coming in.

First up, DC All-Access interviewed costume designer Michael Wilkinson, where he talked about designing the suits for Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman. Most interestingly, the video included a lot of new concept art from the film, featuring the Trinity’s costumes. There’s even that one image of Batman from San Diego Comic-Con 2014 that hasn’t been released in high quality until now.

Check out the video below to check out the concept art and Wilkinson’s comments.

In other Batman v Superman news, new merchandise is now on display at NYCC, and ComicBook.com has snapped a few images of what was shown. New Era will release hats based on the film in 2016, coinciding with the theatrical release. The hats are based on the appearances of Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, as well as Batman’s armored mech suit.

Additionally, we have our first looks at two new action figures: Lex Luthor and Desert Batman, aka “Knightmare Batman.” The name for the latter seemingly confirms that the Dark Knight’s desert garb, as seen in the trailer, will be from some sort of dream/nightmare sequence.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled to hit theaters March 25th, 2016. The second installment in the DC Extended Universe stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter and Gal Gadot. Zack Snyder directs from a script by Chris Terrio and David S Goyer.
