WRATH OF THE TITANS Scribe Rewriting AQUAMAN Movie

After being announced last year, Warner Bros.’ Aquaman movie is set to be directed by Furious 7 helmer James Wan for a July 2018 release. Jason Momoa stars as the King of Atlantis, with Kurt Johnstad writing the script. Johnstad was previously in contention with Will Beall to put out an Aquaman draft, as the film was being developed on a dual track. Now, another writer has been hired.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Wrath of the Titans scribe David Leslie Johnson is set to rewrite Aquaman. He is working with Wan to “streamline” the DC Comics adaptation. He could also be a third rail on the development track. Otherwise, the extent of Johnson’s involvement on Aquaman is unknown. This will mark the second collaboration between Wan and Johnson, following next year’s The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist.
