DC and Cartoon Network Announce JUSTICE LEAGUE ACTION Animated Series

After months of rumors and speculation, Cartoon Network and DC Entertainment have finally announced a new Justice League animated series. Titled Justice League Action, the series will compose of eleven-minute episodes. No word on a premiere date yet.

Longtime voice actor Kevin Conroy will reprise his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman. He will be joined by James Woods as Lex Luthor and Diedrich Bader (who voiced Batman in Batman: The Brave and the Bold) as Booster Gold.

And, in perhaps the most exciting news, Mark Hamill will once again voice The Joker. The actor said a few years ago that he would retire from this role after the Batman: Arkham video games, even though he is rumored to be voicing Joker for the Batman: The Killing Joke animated movie. Additional cast members have yet to be announced.

Justice League Action will be executive produced by Sam Register. The series will be produced by Butch Lukic, Alan Burnett, and Jim Krieg.

Cartoon Network has also released the poster for Justice League Action, featuring Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. Behind them are drawings of many other Justice League members. See if you can identify them all.

Stay tuned for more news as we have it.
