Will SUPERGIRL Crossover With The CW’s DC Shows This Season? Decision to Be Made “In the Next Month or So”

For the past year or so, there have been rumors and speculation that CBS’ Supergirl will crossover with The CW’s DC television shows, aka The Flash, Arrow and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Those involved with the shows have remained open to the idea, but didn’t seem to be in a hurry to merge the two worlds. Recent rumors suggested that a crossover between Supergirl and The Flash will happen later this season if the former was ordered for a full season – which it was.

Now, Greg Berlanti – who is a producer on all four shows – once again weighs in on a potential crossover. Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Berlanti says that, for a crossover to happen this season, a decision has to be made within a month or so, in order for everyone to put a plan together and make it happen. “I would love it, a lot of things would have to go right and people would have to say ‘Yes.’ It would have to figured out very soon. It would all have to be figured out in the next month or so. As it remains right now we’ve talked internally about how cool it would be, but we haven’t had official conversations. [The CW chief Mark Pedowitz] is supportive.”

So, still no confirmed plans, but we’ll surely hear something official very soon. Even if Supergirl doesn’t meet The Flash and Green Arrow this season, there’s always next season – assuming Supergirl is renewed for a second season.
