GOTHAM Casts its New Poison Ivy; Casting Breakdowns for KRYPTON’s Lead Characters
We have even more DC television casting news today. First up, it has been announced (via IGN) that Gotham has cast actress Maggie Geha as the new Ivy Pepper, aka the future Poison Ivy. A younger version of the character was played by Clare Foley in the show’s first two seasons. Former Wonder Woman Lynda Carter to Play U.S. President on SUPERGIRL Season 2
We’ve had plenty of DC Television casting news this week, and now it’s Supergirl‘s turn. The show’s second season, now on The CW, will have a very impressive addition to the cast. It has been announced (via The Hollywood Reporter), Lynda Carter will play the President of the United States on Supergirl. Of course, Carter is best known for playing Wonder Woman in the 1970’s television series. She will first appear in episode three of Supergirl season two, and she will recur throughout the season. ARROW Casts Chad L. Coleman as New Villain for Season 5
Arrow is currently casting new characters for its fifth season. Two new allies will be added, while fan-favorite archer Artemis is coming. Now, the show has cast a new antagonist for Green Arrow. According to IGN, The Walking Dead alum Chad L. Coleman will play new villain Tobias Church on Arrow season five, in a recurring role. Last season on Arrow, teenager Evelyn Sharp briefly attempted to become the new Black Canary after Laurel’s death. Now, she will return in season five, and not only will she have a bigger role, she will become a new vigilante. According to Variety, Evelyn will take on the mantle of Artemis on Arrow next season. The season two finale of The Flash ended on an intriguing cliffhanger, as Barry went back in time to save his mother from Reverse-Flash. Earlier today, we saw a new IMAX poster for Warner Bros.’ Suicide Squad. Now, the studio has released a batch of character posters, courtesy of the film’s UK Twitter page. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits digital download next week, and the DVD/Blu-Ray will be released on July 19th. So, thus ends its theatrical run at the domestic box office.
