The JUSTICE LEAGUE Assembles in Awesome Group Photo; Zack Snyder Talks Wonder Woman’s Arc

USA Today has published a list of this year’s biggest movies, consisting of new images, interviews, etc. Among the films spotlighted is Justice League. For this movie, we have a new still, featuring the entire team (minus Superman) united, standing side-by-side. Check out the image below. (Many thanks to Batman-News for the HQ image.)

USA Today also has a new interview with director Zack Snyder, who expresses his excitement in playing with “the biggest and coolest heroes we could.” Snyder is also producing this year’s Wonder Woman, which will go over Diana’s origin story during World War I. It has previously been said that Diana will be more “naive” and hopeful in her quest to help mankind. But after seeing some of the worst humanity has to offer, she gives up, as she explains in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Here, Snyder explains how Diana’s character arc evolves from Wonder Woman all the way to Justice League. “[Humanity] has its moments, but it can be brutal, and her coming to terms with that dichotomy is what we come to learn about her. And in Justice League, she’s fully evolved into someone who’s embraced mankind, partly through Superman’s sacrifice. She’s like, ‘All right, I’ve got to pick it up.'”

As we draw closer to Justice League‘s release, expect more images, details, etc. to arrive in the coming months.

Justice League is scheduled to hit theaters November 17th. The fifth installment in the DC Extended Universe stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Ciarán Hinds, Amber Heard, Joe Morton, Willem Dafoe, Jeremy Irons, Jesse Eisenberg and J.K. Simmons. Zack Snyder directs from a script by Chris Terrio.
