No, Perry White Won’t Appear in JUSTICE LEAGUE

Laurence Fishburne played Daily Planet editor-in-chief Perry White in both Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the first two installments of the DC Extended Universe. A lot of characters and actors from those movies will return in Justice League. However, don’t expect Perry to pop up again.

In an interview with LA Times, Fishburne confirms that he won’t reprise his Perry White role for Justice League, citing a scheduling conflict. “They asked me to come for a day, but I couldn’t work it out, schedule-wise. And really, what do you need the newspaperman in Justice League for? You want to see the Flash. You want to see Aquaman. You want to see Wonder Woman. You want to see the [Green] Lantern.” Nevertheless, Fishburne is excited to finally see these heroes unite on the big screen after many years of waiting.

As everyone knows by now, the reception to Batman v Superman was very polarizing. The majority of critics didn’t like it, while fans are divided. When asked about this reception, Fishburne continues to throw his support behind the film. “Look, I love what Zack Snyder does. Jesse Eisenberg, this little nebbishy guy, as Lex Luthor? For me, that’s a genius move. And the whole thing with Martha Kent and Martha Wayne? I don’t know, man, I must be sentimental but that’s some heartwarming [stuff] to me. So I don’t get it.”
