Temuera Morrison in Talks to Play AQUAMAN’s Father

We’re only a couple months away from the start of production for DC Films’ Aquaman, and recently, we’ve been getting plenty of casting news. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is in talks to play the villainous Black Manta, while Nicole Kidman is in early negotiations to play Aquaman’s Atlantean mother, Atlanna. Now, the film is looking to cast Arthur Curry’s other parent.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, actor Temuera Morrison is in talks to play Aquaman’s human father, Thomas Curry. Morrison is best known for playing Jango Fett in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. He also played Abin Sur in 2011’s Green Lantern; so if this deal closes, Aquaman will mark the actor’s second DC movie role.

Production on Aquaman is expected to begin in April, so expect plenty more news to come soon.

Aquaman is scheduled to hit theaters October 5th, 2018. This installment in the DC Extended Universe stars Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, and Willem Dafoe. James Wan directs from a script by Will Beall.
