Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman Returns for SUPERGIRL Season 2 Finale

Supergirl finally introduced Superman in the first couple episodes of season two last year. Tyler Hoechlin plays more of an old school take on the Man of Steel, and a lot of fans fell in love with him. Since his two-episode role, there has been speculation as to when, or even if, Superman would return. Now, it’s happening.

E! Online has confirmed that Hoechlin’s Superman is coming back for the season two finale of Supergirl. Plot details for this episode are currently under wraps. The finale airs on Monday, May 22nd on The CW.

This news comes after Supergirl‘s creative team expressed interest in bringing Superman back, so long as Warner Bros./DC gave the OK. And with the Man of Steel playing a crucial role in the DC Extended Universe, allowing him to also appear a few times on television is a pleasant surprise.
