ARROW Casting Call May Reveal the Main Villain of Season 6

Production is now underway on Arrow‘s sixth season. The latest installment of the hit superhero series will explore the ramifications of the season five finale, while the main theme is “family.” Also, Dinah Drake will suit up as the show’s latest Black Canary. Now, we may know who the big bad is.

Bleeding Cool has shared an Arrow casting call for a character called Ricardo Diaz. In the comics, Ricardo Diaz Jr. is the New 52 version of Richard Dragon, and he is a key villain in Jeff Lemire’s Green Arrow run. Diaz sought vengeance on the Green Arrow for the death of his father, and he forms a team of villains known as the Longbow Hunters.

Arrow tackled the “son seeking vengeance for his father’s death” plot last year, so they’ll probably be doing something different with Diaz. Check out the casting call below.

[Ricardo Diaz] Male, 30s-40s, Diverse. Hardened ex-son recently released from prison for crimes he didn’t commit. Ricardo uses his freedom and 25 million dollars in settlement money to establish control over Star City’s criminal underworld. He’s a martial arts and fighting expert honed by years of life on the street and in prison. 7/13 Fractional Series Regular.

Arrow will be present at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, so hopefully, we’ll receive confirmation on Diaz and a lot more details for this season then.

Arrow returns on Thursday, October 12th at 9 PM EST on The CW.
