Marc Guggenheim Teases [SPOILER]’s Replacement on LEGENDS OF TOMORROW

[Warning: The Following Contains SPOILERS From Recent Episodes of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.]
In the last two episodes of Legends of Tomorrow, two original members of the crew made their exit: Martin Stein and Jefferson Jackson, the two halves of Firestorm. Stein was fatally wounded during the “Crisis on Earth-X” crossover, while Jax left the team to pursue his own path. Obviously, that leaves a big hole to be filled in the Legends.

Luckily, there are already plans for who is replacing Firestorm. Speaking with ComicBook, executive producer Marc Guggenheim says that they know who the new character is, with an official announcement coming soon. “We do have a plan for how to replace Firestorm on the bridge, and it’s a really cool one. It’s one we’re really excited about. There’s really like two empty chairs on the Waverider. So we do have a game plan. We’ve always had a game plan. I just can’t talk about the game plan. The CW publicity will determine when we get to unleash that bit of news.”

Guggenheim’s only other hint is that it’s a “previously established” character from the Arrowverse. There are certainly plenty of characters that fit the mold. The Ray has been ruled out, since the actor is busy on another show. John Constantine appeared in the midseason finale and is in the next episode, but it’s unknown if he’ll be a regular part beyond that.

Stay tuned for more news as we have it.
