LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Promoting Constantine to Series Regular for Possible Season 4

Legends of Tomorrow hasn’t been formally renewed for a fourth season (yet), but if it is, the show is adding a new character to the team.

It has been announced (via TV Line) that Matt Ryan’s John Constantine will be a series regular on Legends next season. That is, if the show is renewed. But the series, along with the rest of The CW’s DC shows, is fully expected to come back. And the promotion of one character is a pretty good indicator of its renewal chances.

Constantine starred in his own show on NBC before its infamous cancellation. In 2015, the character was brought into the Arrowverse in an episode of Arrow. This season, Constantine appeared on Legends of Tomorrow, and he has two more appearances lined up this season (including tonight’s episode). So, upgrading him to a regular here just makes perfect sense. There’s also the animated Constantine series, which premieres on March 24th on CW Seed.

Stay tuned for more news as we have it.
