THOR: RAGNAROK's Tessa Thompson Reuniting with Chris Hemsworth in MEN IN BLACK Spinoff

Casting is currently underway on Sony’s Men in Black spinoff, which will expand the franchise beyond the Will Smith trilogy. Chris Hemsworth is in talks to star, with F. Gary Gray attached to direct. Now, the film has found its female lead.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tessa Thompson will star in the new Men in Black. She previously starred with Hemsworth in last year’s Thor: Ragnarok, where she plays Valkyrie. The site adds that Hemsworth’s deal isn’t close just yet, but it is expected to soon. The film will have more of an ensemble cast, as opposed to the two leads in the trilogy. It will also have a more global scope.

With the future of the Thor franchise unknown, this serves as a nice reunion for Hemsworth and Thompson. It also marks the beginning of an all-star cast, making the new movie one to watch out for. Stay tuned for more news as we have it.

The Men in Black spinoff will hit theaters on June 14th, 2019.
