Vin Diesel is Training for BLOODSHOT

It’s been a long road getting Valiant Comics on the big screen. After years of preparation, false starts, and heavy competition from other comics powerhouses, Valiant Comics is finally coming in for the home run stretch.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Vin Diesel was in talks to play the character of Bloodshot in Valiant’s first feature film. And we finally have confirmation that these talks were fruitful, with Mr. I Am Groot himself taking to Instagram and announcing that his training for the Rising Spirit supersoldier.

For those unfamiliar with the character, Bloodshot debut in 1992 as a memory wiped supersoldier with nanites pulsing through his blood. The comics line was rebooted in 2012, and Bloodshot has since become a corner stone of the modern Valiant Universe.

Valiant Comics is a unique publisher in the comics space, whose classic slogan, “Where Dead is Dead,” differentiated them from the repeat resurrections and reboots of other publishers. In January 2018, DMG Entertainment completed their acquisition of Valiant, intending to harness their vast catalog of characters for a push into Film, Television, and other media. Projects in development include feature films based on “Bloodshot,” “Harbinger,” “Harbinger Wars,” and “Archer & Armstrong,” television shows based on “Quantum and Woody” and “Dr. Mirage,” and a digital series, “Ninjak vs. the Valiant Universe,” set for release in 2018.

Vin Diesel can next be seen in Avengers: Infinity War, set for release on April 27th.
