Sony Bringing VENOM and SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE to San Diego Comic-Con 2018

Marvel Studios is skipping Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con next month, but the convention will still be getting some other movie goodness, courtesy of Sony Pictures.

According to Deadline, Sony is bringing Venom and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse to Hall H. The panel is said to be scheduled for Friday, July 20th at 6:15 PM. No details on who from those movies will be that panel, or how much new footage to expect. It’s also easy to speculate if Sony will make any further announcements on its Marvel Universe, which includes forthcoming films like Silver & Black and Morbius the Living Vampire.

However, Deadline says it wouldn’t be surprising if Spider-Man himself, Tom Holland, showed up during this panel. The actor currently plays Spidey in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and despite the events of Avengers: Infinity War, he will return next year in Avengers 4 and Spider-Man: Far From Home. What exactly Holland would show or do at SDCC this year is unknown.

Stay tuned for more as we have it. Venom hits theaters on October 5th, with Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse arriving on December 14th.
