WONDER WOMAN 1984 Expected to Make “Surprise” Appearance at San Diego Comic-Con 2018

We’re a month away from this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, and Warner Bros. is expected to make a big splash there. It’s already been confirmed that the Aquaman trailer will debut then, while a first look at Shazam! is expected. Now, it looks like DC’s most beloved hero at the moment will make her return to the convention.

According to Deadline, WB is planning to showcase Wonder Woman 1984 as DC’s big “surprise” at the panel. (It’s not really a surprise now, but whatever.) While scheduling and other details are still being finalized, the plan is for star Gal Gadot to appear and show a first look at the highly anticipated sequel.

No word on how much this first look will include, as the film just started production and is more than a year away from release. It’s also unknown if this is something that’d be released online or if it’s just a convention exclusive. Given how far away the movie is, I’d bet on the latter.

Stay tuned for more as we have it.

Wonder Woman 1984 is scheduled to hit theaters on November 1st, 2019. The eighth installment of the DC Films Universe stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, and Pedro Pascal. Patty Jenkins directs from a script that she wrote with Geoff Johns and David Callaham.
