Review: EDENS ZERO Chapter 3

In this chapter, we get to know the “guild” that Rebeca is a member off and have Shiki join. If there is any chapter that makes this manga feel like Fairy Tail painted in science fiction color. The only difference is some slight change in the guilds behavior.  However, there is a big difference between Edens Zero and Fairytail. Unlike Fairytail, Edens Zero has mystery building up since the first chapter, which has me somewhat intrigued.

While the chapter isn’t bad, it’s nothing in particular. Shiki is his usual goofy social incompetent self, with Rebeca and Happy their usual “we need good footage” selfs.

The biggest thing that it adds is the extra nuggets that it adds to the mystery, with a lot of reference to his previous work. I ask again. Is this a sequel to Fairy Tail or is he just so self-aware that I can expect his version of Deadpool at some point?

I give this chapter a 6/10.
