Kraven The Hunter Spin-Off In The Works At Sony From Richard Wenk

Sony is continuing to expand it’s plan to make a Spider-Man Cinematic Universe, that may or may not be within the MCU, with a new film featuring the popular villain Kraven The Hunter.

Collider reports that Sony has hired Richard Wenk, the screenwriter behind both Equalizer films as well as the 2016 remake of The Magnificent Seven, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, and The Expendables 2, to pen the script for a solo film starring the fan-favorite foe.

Sony had previously announced a movie featuring the Korean-American superhero Silk, a Morbius The Living Vampire film starring Jared Leto and directed by Daniel Espinosa, a Nightwatch movie directed by Spike Lee, and the Black Cat/Silver Sable team-up film Silver & Black though things aren’t looking good for that spin-off. So either Sony has a lot of confidence in Venom which comes to theaters this October or they’re just going to keep announcing numerous Spider-Man spin-offs until Venom hits theaters this fall.
