Review: NARUTO THE MOVIE: BLOOD PRISON

Naruto
needs to reclaim his honor after he gets convicted for a crime he did not commit.

The reason I give you this review is that I
need tomorrow to work on the last parts of the other two planned posts. But
I refuse to have you go empty handed today, so here is a review just for you.

As someone who ain’t that big on the Naruto movies since they are fillers,
Blood Prison made me question why I hadn’t seen them in the first place. It’s
not a masterpiece, don’t get me wrong. But I did find myself having a good time
watching it from beginning to end. The
only thing that makes the story stand out is the fact that it’s darker than usual Naruto stories.

The animation was a disappointment since
it came off as a longer chapter of the anime. No, the anime doesn’t look bad. But
you would think that a movie with an original story would have bigger animation budget.

Like always, the voice acting is superb. The voice acting
has always been one of the three best parts of the anime (with the mythology and
action being the other two).

If you are a Naruto fan and have for some reason not seen this, I would highly
recommend it. It might not be a masterpiece but it is enjoyable.
