STAR WARS RESISTANCE Trailer and Premiere Date Revealed

With Star Wars Rebels finished and a seventh season of The Clone Wars not out until next year, Disney is moving forward with a new animated series. Star Wars Resistance takes place a few years before The Force Awakens, and it centers on a new Resistance pilot who spies on the First Order. Poe Dameron, Captain Phasma, Leia Organa, and other characters are expected to appear.

Today, Disney released the first trailer for the series. It shows off the anime-inspired style, while it features plenty of BB-8 and other characters. It also confirms the show’s premiere date: Sunday, October 7th at 10 PM EST.
