Marvel Studios Drops Untitled Movie from 2020 Schedule

Marvel Studios previously dated a bunch of untitled movies for the next few years, including three for 2020. However, it looks like one movie won’t be arriving that year, based on Disney’s latest schedule change.

The untitled Marvel movie set for July 31st, 2020 has been removed from the schedule, and it is currently “undated.” As a result, Disney has moved Dwayne Johnson’s Jungle Cruise movie to July 24th, 2020.

Of course, since it’s untitled, we don’t know what Marvel movie this was. But fans are already speculating that it could be Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, since that movie was expected to shoot next year for a 2020 release. Since James Gunn’s exit, Marvel put pre-production on hold, and the studio is said to be looking at new directors now.

As for other movies, Black Widow and The Eternals have been gaining steam, so those could be part of Marvel’s 2020 slate. There is also talk of a Doctor Strange sequel happening that year, but we haven’t heard much on that one. With Marvel keeping its Phase Four plans under wraps until after Avengers 4 next year, it will probably be a while before we hear anything official.

Stay tuned for more news as we have it.
