WONDER WOMAN 1984 Moves to Summer 2020 Release

Fans are going to have to wait a little longer for Diana Prince’s return to the big screen.

Warner Bros. has announced that DC’s Wonder Woman 1984 has been pushed back seven months. Originally set for November 2019, the film will now hit theaters on June 5th, 2020. Star Gal Gadot tweeted the news.

Jeff Goldstein, WB’s president of domestic distribution, has given the following statement on the news. “We had tremendous success releasing the first Wonder Woman film during the summer so when we saw an opportunity to take advantage of the changing competitive landscape, we did. This move lands the film exactly where it belongs.”

This move places Wonder Woman 1984 in the heart of 2020, joining blockbusters like Godzilla vs. Kong and DC’s Birds of Prey movie. Despite the delay, DC will still have 2019 covered with Shazam! and Joker.

Stay tuned for more news as we have it.
